Stamford Green Day Nursery attempts to provide a positive learning environment for you child that enhances his or her level of development.  Through play experiences and the guidance of specially trained staff, your child will be exposed to situations that will stimulate:

1)   curiosity, initiative and independence;

2)   self-esteem and decision-making capabilities;

3)   interaction with, and respect for others;

4)   physical activity developing gross motor skills;

5)   communication skills; and

6)   fine motor development.

                       Our programs take into consideration the ages and the maturity and emotional make-up of the children.  Porgrams are re-evaluated to reflect changes within the Day Nurseries Act, and ideologies on early childhood education.

                       Stamford Green Day Nursery is staffed by early childhood educators who aim to create an environment stimulating to a child's social, mental, and physical development. Carefully planned programs include indoor and outdoor play, quiet times, group and individual activities.

                       Because your child's education is extremely important to us, Stamford Green Day Nursery has developed an educational program as an alternative choice to  Junior and Senior Kindergarten programs in our public school system.  This program was initially created to meet the demands of the ever growing economy and the working parent. The program has been developed to specifically nourish the "Kinder" years. Our program is dedicated to preparing children for their beginning in formal education at the Primary level. By offering a high caliber curriculum combined with an individualized, non-competitive approach to learning taught and overlooked by qualified elementary school teachers registered with the Ontario College of Teachers.

                       By offering a safe, and loving environment with small ratios (50-70% less than traditional programs). We have the unique opportunity to create a positive learning environment, that not only focuses on students as a group, but as an individual. We do not believe in leaving behind the "difficult" child, because we feel that Every Child is capable of excelling with just the right amount of individual guidance.

                       Through play experiences integrated with literary-based "Learn to Read" and "Jolly Phonics" curriculum, your child will be exposed to situations that will stimulate:

                                  1. curiosity, initiative, and independence;

                                                                                   2. self-esteem and decision-making capabilities;
